One of the greatest memories I have with my kids is the first day they climbed in my lap to drive the car. As we drive back from the grocery store I’d pull the car over and ask one of them to climb up front into my lap. I showed them how to put the car in gear, look both ways and steer. It’s really incredible the excitement as they really think they are in control! Little do they know, dad has his hand hidden on the steering wheel below them “just in case”. We would have a blast as each kid takes a turn at the wheel. The Kid in Me™ by Noah celebrates this Father’s Day with “The First Drive”. This original pencil drawing is a study I am using for a future painting and is available on a first come first serve basis.
These memories are to be cherished. Before you know it the kids are too big to fit on your lap and then before you know it you are in the passenger seat while they drive.
